Great food and service at a good price

There's always great food whenever you order at Mayflower or to go. Good prices for boxes of chicken or fish that feed a family 4-5. Always have received friendly customer service there, on the phone, or picking up food at the take out side.

The food was good and the service was good. The service has improved immensely from when I was last there over a year ago.

Left without eating after no one came to my table after 20 minutes. I guess a single diner is not going to be a big total. True but as a 30+ year waitress the tip would’ve been more than some family people who run you ragged and leave a buck. It’s ok though. There are other options. Some won’t leave Madison but I have no problem with it. Best wishes.

It's your typical fried seafood place. Lots of your choice on the plate, a little slaw, a lot fries or baked potato, and of course hushpuppies. It doesn't stand out over other seafood places in NC except the people are really nice and it's probably better than most other restaurants in Madison.

Got take away today and someone mixed up our french salad dressing with some kind of hot buffalo sauce! Not realizing till we all already put it in our mouths! So glad our daughter never eat it before that, or could have been way worse and definitely not good when you have a hernia and reflux!!! Horrible and piss poor they can label something to know the difference before giving it to a customer!! Never again, lost our business!!!

The food was alright. The best was the Hush Puppies. The food wasn't worth the price.

The prices are a bit high, the fish can occasionally be dry and overcooked, and the potatoes consistently appear to be unwashed. Are unwashed potatoes even legal? Either way, potato-skin lovers should shy-away from ordering spuds here. But, the food is consistently tasty and flavorful and the staff is consistently warm (not just friendly) and attentive. The food taste seems to always include a touch of something special that you usually only get with home-cooked meals (the spices, maybe?).

I had clam chowder...which is good. Rich, creamy, yummy. Only had Styrofoam cup to put left over chowder in. 😣

A great place for seafood, but I find the chicken stir fry the best! The staff is friendly, but the place could use a boost of positive energy in my opinion.

Ordered grilled shrimp platter. The salad greens were just chopped iceberg with the brow ribs included topped with mostly green sliced tomatoes that hadn't been cored. The baked sweet potato was old and tasted it. It was served with a vegetable oil based spread instead of butter! YUCK! Seven jumbo (not!) shrimp that tasted fishy, were overcooked and also old. All for the bargain price of $12.Hubby got the grilled flounder which he said was "alright" though he refused the "spread" for his sweet potato.This place does mostly deep fried everything. Those items may be edible, but who wants all that breading and grease? This place needs to up their game considerably.

Good food and fast service one time and the next time I went it was nearly immposible to get waited on. Waitresses too busy standing around talking to actually take our order. Many others came in after us and had there orders taken long before anyone even came to our table. When we finally got up to leave someone came over to try to take our order. Think I'll seek better service elsewhere.

Well it is the best mayflower Seafood around. We got our money worth. So good.

Really good place to eat when you have an appetite for fish. The popcorn shrimp was great texture of just enough crisp and that was a late meal an hour before closing. So I'm impressed.

The meal was delicious! Plenty of it too. I didn't leave hungry. The service was outstanding! My server was awesome. I'll be back!

A little out of date but the food is still good.

This is some of the best seafood around The people are always so nice and pleasant and my experience is always great. That's why we're there at least once a week

$27 for two flounder plates. Each plate had three pieces. Each plate had one piece that had bones in them. Kinda like top grade for two pieces and low grade for the third piece.

Good food great portions...very satisfied!!

Their fish, shrimp are delicious. If you get the stir fry chicken have them to not put so much sauce on the dish and it will be great.

Food pretty good, service super slow. Took over 10 minutes just to get drinks. Everyone around us was having same issue.

We order for there every Saturday night and it's a big order. They always have everything ready and all the sauces in the bag ready to go and all the extras!! Have always been very satisfied, will continue to visit Mayflower regularly!! Wonderful place to eat and great great food!!!!

The hushpuppies are cooked perfectly and the seafood is fresh! The wait staff is attentive and friendly in true southern manner.
